Some time after 2 a.m. this morning, San Angelo Police officers were dispatched to a major motor vehicle rollover crash on 19th and Lillie Streets.
Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said once on scene, officers located an injured man, later identified as Kristian Rose of San Angelo. Officers also located a second man, Fernando Gonzalez, who was lying next to an overturned beige 2001 Ford F150 pickup.
“Both men were transported by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center for evaluation,” said Gonzalez. “Rose was treated for non-incapacitating injuries, and his current condition is unknown. Gonzalez was treated for incapacitating injuries to his head and back. His current condition is unknown.”
At this time, police have received conflicting stories about who was driving the vehicle. A blood specimen was obtained from at least one of the men, said Gonzalez.
“Police suspect alcohol as a contributing factor to this crash,” Gonzalez noted. “No arrests were made due to the men’s ongoing medical treatment.”
Gonzalez also said charges may be forthcoming pending the outcome of the investigation.
