One Person Killed in One-Vehicle Crash in Comanche County

 

Another driver lost his life in a tragic one-vehicle crash on US 67, about 2.5 miles east of Comanche, said a Department of Public Safety press release Thursday.

According to the release, the driver of a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Anthony Samuel Simmons, 22, of Comanche, was traveling west on US 67 this morning at around 9 a.m. when his vehicle drifted left, across the eastbound lane and into a bar ditch. The vehicle then went through some small trees until striking two larger ones and coming to a stop.

At this time, the crash remains under investigation. Trooper Cristobal Delgado with DPS Brownwood is the investigating officer, and DPS stated next of kin has been notified.
