The Driver of a Chevy Trailblazer was blamed for a crash on Sherwood Way after accepting an act of kindness by a Good Samaritan.
According to San Angelo police, traffic was heavy on Sherwood Way near Oxford shortly after 1 p.m. when a driver in the far right lane stopped short of a private drive and waved the Trailblazer to exit a private drive and join the busy flow of traffic on San Angelo’s major east-west roadway.
Meanwhile, a white Toyota Tundra was in the second-to-the-right lane and the Trailblazer driver didn’t see it. She pulled out in front of the Tundra and the Tundra collided with the Trailblazer.
“We work crashes like this regularly when people stop to let people out. But you’re probably better off waiting on your own to allow traffic to clear before turning out of a private drive,” police said.
The driver of the Trailblazer was given a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way when pulling out of a private drive.
There were no injuries.

An act of kindness??? Its stupidity to let someone go ahead into another lane. All that does is create an environment to an accident. I see this all the time. I never let someone cross, ever. I am preventing an accident. Your welcome! Dumb A**!
