SAN ANGELO, TX — Isolated storms remain possible Tuesday afternoon and evening across West Central Texas, prompting a Marginal Risk of excessive rainfall due to recent heavy rains and saturated soils, according to the National Weather Service.
While storms are expected to be scattered and brief, forecasters warned any heavy rainfall could trigger flash flooding and hazardous driving conditions. Residents are advised to avoid driving on flooded roads or attempting to cross flowing water.

Despite storm chances, temperatures across the region are forecast to remain near normal through the weekend. Highs in San Angelo are expected to range from the low 90s Tuesday and Wednesday to mid-90s by Friday, with lows generally in the low to mid-70s each night.
Today's forecast includes a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m., with a high near 91 degrees and south-southwest winds around 5 mph. Rain chances decrease to 10 percent before 7 p.m. Tuesday night, followed by mostly sunny and clear conditions through the remainder of the week.
Forecasters noted a low chance of rain returning over the weekend.
