Larry Ballard, 73, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault against a public servant.

According to court documents, on June 18, 2025, a witness contacted the Tom Green County emergency dispatch stating the defendant, identified as Ballard, was threatening to commit suicide by overdosing on insulin. Two Tom Green County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call.
