Officers assigned to the Del Rio International Bridge encountered a 2007 utility vehicle driven by a 47-year-old male Mexican citizen. They seized six large packages containing 371.74 pounds (168.62 kg) of meth worth $1.7 million concealed within the vehicle.

According to weather experts from the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, the intense heat will continue with record highs expected Saturday and Sunday and afternoon high temperatures will reach 100 degrees every day until at least next Wednesday.
