AREA SOFTBALL: Lady Cats Pick Up Road Win, Help to Force Play-In

FORT WORTH, TX -- The Central Lady Cats' playoff hopes are not gone just yet after drawing the right hand on Thursday.

The Central Lady Cats downed Fort Worth Haltom 9-6 to handle what they could control. Euless Trinity handled the rest by beating Fort Worth Richland 12-6.

That means Central and Richland will play a one-game play-in for District 3-6A's final playoff spot. The game will happen on Monday, April 22, at 5:00 p.m. at Abilene Christian University's Wells Field.

The venue is the same one where the Lady Cats squared off with South Grand Prairie in the bi-district round of the 2018 playoffs.
