Veribest's Cinderella Run Ends in Regional Semis

ABILENE, TX -- Veribest's first year head coach Jim Eubank promised the Lady Falcons were going to challenge no. 9-ranked Hermleigh in their first-ever regional tournament appearance. Despite falling 44-39, the Lady Falcons did just that at Abilene Christian University on Friday.

Veribest's run this year was historic. The Lady Falcons booked their first playoff spot for the first time in over a decade and won their first district championship in 17 years. In addition to that history, Veribest won the program's first-ever area round game en route to their first-ever regional tournament berth.

Now the program will still look upward. This team that finished 23-7 will return all but three players next year.

Hermleigh advances to the regional final tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.
