Final Spring 'Night at the Museum' at ASU Mayer Museum Tomorrow

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - Angelo State University's Mayer Museum will host its final "Night at the Museum" program of the spring on Tuesday, May 5, in the Mayer Museum at 2501 W. Ave. N.

Night at the Museum will run from 5-8 p.m. and is free and open to community members of all ages. For this installment, activities will include:

  • ASU Mobile STEM Lab - interactive tours and demonstrations
  • Society of Physics Students - physics experiments and demonstrations
  • ASU Math for Elementary Teachers group - math games and more
  • Kappa Pi Art Fraternity - creative art activities
  • American Chemical Society group - chemistry demonstrations and fun

The Mayer Museum's permanent exhibits and activities will also be open, as well as the current traveling exhibits:

  • "Century of the Scout"
  • "Concho River Legacy Trail"
  • "Shaping the Path: ASU Ceramics Student Show"
  • "1st Mayer National Juried Student Ceramic Competition Show"
  • "Community" - ceramic works by invited artists Steve Hilton and Von Venhuizen

The monthly Night at the Museum events will return during ASU's upcoming fall semester.
