SAN ANGELO, TX - A Florida man is suing two construction companies, alleging negligence caused him to fall about 13 feet from a ladder during a work-related incident in March 2024, resulting in serious personal injuries.
Marco Antonio Cisneros, a Miami-Dade County, Florida resident, filed the lawsuit March 4, 2025, in the 51st Judicial District Court in Tom Green County, Texas (Cause No. A250096C). The petition names Breakthrough Masonry, LLC, and Sierra Vista Construction, Inc., as defendants.
According to the original petition, Cisneros was employed by Breakthrough Masonry at a construction site at 5106 Manderas Court in San Angelo, owned by Sierra Vista Construction. On or about March 8, 2024, he placed a ladder atop scaffolding to reach a high point. The scaffolding shifted, causing the ladder to lose balance and Cisneros to fall approximately 13 feet to the ground, the filing states.
Cisneros claims he sustained serious injuries requiring medical care. He accuses Breakthrough Masonry of negligence, including failing to monitor the work environment, properly train employees, provide fall protection, or ensure safe working conditions at height. He also alleges gross negligence against Breakthrough Masonry, claiming conscious indifference to his safety.
Against Sierra Vista Construction, Cisneros asserts negligence and premises liability, alleging the company failed to warn of or make safe unreasonably dangerous conditions on the property where he was an invitee.
The suit seeks monetary damages between $250,000 and $1 million, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, court costs, and other relief. Cisneros demands a jury trial and reserves the right to amend damage amounts as discovery continues.
Sierra Vista Construction filed an original answer on June 23, 2025, entering a general denial and asserting various affirmative defenses, including contributory negligence, lack of duty of care, limitations on punitive damages, and that any damages were caused by third parties or Cisneros' own actions.
Court records show the case remains pending, with a scheduling conference for Feb. 6, 2026.
Cisneros is represented by Sasha Seyvani of Mokaram Law Firm in Houston. Breakthrough Masonry appears pro se in the records, while Sierra Vista is represented by Dustin Baker of Bush Rudnicki Shelton, P.C. No trial date has been set.
