BREAKING: Saturday Morning Fire Claims Life of One Victim

 

SAN ANGELO, TX- Officials confirmed with San Angelo LIVE! that the fire that occurred Saturday morning claimed the life of one individual inside the house.

 

The Honorable Fred Buck, Justice of the Peace for Precinct 3, announced that the fire claimed the life of an elderly man in his 70s.

According to Judge Buck the grandson of the deceased  was able to hear the screams of his grandfather but due to the flames could not get him out of the burning home. All others in the home were able to be evacuated safely. 

About 8:00 a.m., flames filled the sky as the San Angelo Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at San Antonio Street and North Washington Street.

No home insurance has been associated with the home. The Red Cross has been informed about the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and an update will be given as more information is released.
