Saturday Morning Flames Claim San Angelo Home

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - In a mixture of braving the flames and a rigid 21 degree temperature the San Angelo Fire Department came to the rescue to extinguish a fire in the residential area of San Antonio Street and North Washington Street on Saturday morning. 
 

Orange flames engulfed the sky as the San Angelo Fire Department was dispatched to the scene just before the 8 a.m. hour.

At this time it’s unknown if a full evacuation of the home was completed before the onslaught of flames took control. 

Ladder 1 was elevated to douse the flames with heavy amounts of water on the wood frame house in which the roof would collapse.

Members from AEP were also on scene to successfully cut the power from the home.

Members from the Crime Investigation Team are on scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
