Pilots can continue to file VFR into San Angelo (SJT) this evening. The weatherman is observing a 9,000 foot ceiling with four statute miles visibility. Winds are calm. If the ceiling drops to under 3,000 feet, pilots will be required to file an alternate in case San Angelo is socked in with low clouds and visibility less that 1 mile.
Current radar (as of 1820 local) shows a line of rain showers extending from Marfa to the southwest to Ardmore, Oklahoma to the northeast. San Angelo is in the middle of that line.
Friday, more rainfall is expected with thunderstorms. The wind is forecast to increase to 13 m.p.h. out of the northeast. San Angelo's runway 3 will the the most optimal runway and it has the ILS system for poor weather operations.
The altimeter is close to a standard day at 29.95 hg, and the dewpoint spread is only 1 degree.

Friday morning, min-VFR conditions continue with 5,500 feeot ceilings and 6 miles visibility and rain showers. Area radar shows a continuous line of rain showers from just east of Marfar extending into central Oklahoma.
