5 Unvaccinated Dead, 150 Now Infected as COVID-19 Continues Rage Through San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Over 150 new infections and 5 deaths reported Tuesday due to unvaccinated spread of COVID-19.

According to the City of San Angelo's Public Information Department, on Aug. 31, the San Angelo Health Department reported another 159 new positive COVID-19 cases and 5 new deaths from COVID-19 patients.

With new cases the total of active cases has increased at 1,675 with 79 patients in the hospital. Since the beginning of the pandemic Tom Green County has had a total of 21,715 cases of COVID-19.

The five deaths today consisted of a woman in her 50s, three people in their 60s, two men and a woman, and a women in her 70s. All of the deceased were unvaccinated.

This brings the total COVID-19-related death count in Tom Green County to 365: 237 from Tom Green County and 128 from other counties. We do not have any further information about the patients at this time.
