Jones County Sheriff Beats COVID-19 After Weeks In The Hospital

ANSON, TX -- After spending weeks in the hospital, Jones County Sheriff Danny Jimenez has beat COVID-19.

The Jones County Sheriff's Office had previously confirmed Sheriff Jimenez tested positive for the coronavirus in late November.

According to Chief Deputy Sara Alfaro, Sheriff Jimenez will not return to work yet -- but he will spend the holidays at home with his family.

"We would like to extend a sincere Thank You to the medical staff at Hendrick Medical Center," Alfaro said in a statement. "You all continue to work tirelessly to help heal patients daily and for that you are truly our heroes."
