SAN ANGELO, TX — Along Celebration Bridge, fireworks technicians from Greg “Pyro” Schaat’s pyrotechnics team are spacing the “cakes” close as this year’s construction of the Oakes Street Bridge by TxDOT has precluded the second surface for firing the show as has been done in the past. This is the first year ever that this many fireworks launch cakes have been deployed on Celebration Bridge.
The traditional concert and fireworks show in San Angelo is held July 3 at the Bill Aylor, Dr. Memorial RiverStage, 16 E. Avenue A. Called “A Star-Spangled Banner Concert & Fireworks” the festivities for the day begin at 12 p.m. when the gates to the River Stage open so patrons can claim a spot on the hill in front of the stage.
A burger supper, dine-in or takeout, will be available from 5-7 p.m. July 3 at the Fort Concho Stables Hall, 210 Henry O. Flipper St. For $10, guests will get a burger, chips, cookie and bottled water.
ALTHOUGH THE ART INSTALLATION MAY NOT BE AN OFFICIAL BUC-EE’S TRAVEL CENTER, THAT WON’T STOP THE BELOVED BEAVER FROM MAINTAINING IT’S SPOTLESS REPUTATION
