Tim Vasquez took the stand in his own defense Wednesday (March 23) morning during the trial where the former chief of the San Angelo Police Department faces charges.
The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that an inmate on death row had the right to have a clergy member present and touching the inmate at the time of their execution.
Jurors at the bribery trial in federal court of former San Angelo Chief of Police Tim Vasquez learned that the charges eventually filed stemmed from a small investigation into a charity golf tournament Vasquez organized for May 1, 2015.
