UPDATE: SAPD Issues Statement Regarding South David Street Homicide

 

SAN ANGELO, TX— The San Angelo Police Department has issued an update on the homicide investigation.

Information released by San Angelo Police Sergeant John Bouligny said on October 1, 2024, around 8:00 a.m. patrol units responded to a shooting victim call in the 1500 block of South David.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Hunter Joyner, with multiple gunshot wounds and the San Angelo Fire Department transported him to Shannon Emergency Room where he later succumbed to his wounds.

An investigation was conducted by members of the San Angelo Police Departments Criminal Investigations Division, which culminated in a warrant to be issued for 27-year-old Mason Taylor, for the charge of Murder.

Taylor was taken into custody without incident during the evening hours of October 1, 2024.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
