Odessa Man Arrested After Climbing Roof and Damaging Electric Pole

ODESSA, TX — A man was arrested after climbing onto a roof and damaging an electric pole in Odessa on Sept. 17.

Odessa police responded to a check welfare call on the 700 block of N. Washington St., where they found the man on top of a complainant’s roof.

The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Christian Herrada, had no legal right to be on the roof, according to authorities. Police say he caused damage to both an electric pole and wiring during the incident.

Herrada eventually came down from the roof and was taken into custody. He faces charges including two counts of criminal trespass, both Misdemeanor A, resisting arrest, another Misdemeanor A, and criminal mischief, a Misdemeanor B.
