Juvenile Cited for Theft at GameStop, Another Arrested for Fleeing San Angelo Police

SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo police arrested a juvenile who fled the scene during a response to a reported vehicle burglary and theft at the Sunset Drive shopping center earlier this afternoon.

According to information from the police department, officers were initially dispatched to the area, which includes stores like GameStop and Target, following reports of a vehicle burglary in progress and, simultaneously, a theft at GameStop.

It was discovered that the calls were for the same involved suspects.

Upon arrival, police made contact with three juveniles behind a business located at 4151 Sunset Dr, next to the new Skechers store that is opening soon. 

The police department told San Angelo LIVE! that one suspect fled on foot but was later apprehended at the Desert Shadows Apartments.

Cops said no vehicle burglary occurred, but one juvenile was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center for evading arrest, and another was cited for Class C theft.

Class C theft in Texas is the unlawful taking of property valued at less than $100. 

Further charges may be pending as the investigation continues, information stated.
