In the Tom Green County jail logs, a Ryan Renfroe, 33, was arrested for murder. He is currently held without bond. A fund raising page has already been published to aid in burial expenses of a shooting victim. The narrative of the fundraising page said the victim was, “brutally shot in the downtown streets of San Angelo.” We are not linking to the page because we cannot verify if the page is legitimate and police have not officially identified the victim. He was described as a 23-year-old white male.

We have talked to bar owners in the area and all confirmed there was a shooting. Police have not released any information as of 11:30 a.m. Renfroe was booked into the jail at 10:43 a.m.

On Chadbourne Street, at around 11:15 a.m., police called in Ladder 1 and the downtown fire department to “wash down the crime scene.”
