Kidnapping Suspect Armed with Guns and a Sword Arrested After Leading Police on Chase

 

AMARILLO, TX – Amarillo Police on Monday morning used spike strips to stop a flee kidnapping suspect who was heavily armed.

According to ABC 7 in Amarillo, on Nov. 7, officers with the APD were alerted of a possible kidnapping situation. The man allegedly had forced a woman into his car. Witnesses told police that the woman was screaming as he forced her in the car.

Police found the suspect driving a silver Hyundai and attempted to pull the vehicle over. The driver, who's identity has not been revealed at this time, led the officers on a chase through town. He was eventually stopped by police who used spike strips to blow out the suspects tires.

The man was arrested and the woman was found safe. In the vehicle police found at least five guns, a machete, and a sword.
