GRAPHIC CONTENT: San Angelo Man Indicted on 3 Counts of Lewd Assault of a Child

 

SAN ANGELO- A San Angelo man has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury on three counts of sexual assault of a child.

According to court documents, on January 24, 2022, a San Angelo police officer completed a police report alleging sexual assault of a child. The officer spoke with the victim, who was under the age of 17 at the time, and learned that on January 20, 2022, the child had been sexually assaulted by the defendant, identified as Benjamin Flores Jr.

The child victim alleged that while at a residence on the 400 block of Porter Street, Flores Jr. used his sexual organ to penetrate the victim’s sexual organ.

According to the indictment, Flores Jr. used his sexual organ, finger, and mouth to penetrate the victim’s sexual organ.

When investigators spoke with Flores Jr., he stated that on January 20, 2022, he had sexually assaulted the victim. Flores Jr. also understood at the time that the victim was a child under the age of 17.

Flores Jr. was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on January 28, 2022. He is currently an inmate and has a $60,000.00 bond and cannot have contact with the victim.
