Man Arrested After Using AIrTag To Stalk Estranged Wife

MIDLAND, TX –– A Midland man is facing criminal charges after he allegedly tracked his estranged wife digitally.

According to court documents, Ray Valverde Jr. placed Apple AirTag in his wife's car in order to track her movement.

According to the victim, days before his arrest her soon-to-be-ex-husband called her a total of 40 times.

Last week the victim contacted MPD to let them know she was being followed by Valverde and that she was on her way to the police station.

Valverde ultimately admitted to police he placed the AirTag in his wife's Tahoe and stalked her for months.
