ABILENE, TX –– Months after the lifeless body of Carlos Veliz Jr. was found in the parking lot of a 7/11, his alleged murderer has been indicted by a Taylor County grand jury.
According to court documents, 28-year-old Gabriel Hall of Sasche has been indicted for murder. Hall was apprehended by detectives with the Major Investigations Bureau, United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force in his hometown.
On the day of the murder, Hall was arrested for several other crimes. He was released after posting his bond two weeks later, while remaining a person of interest in the shooting.
Hall was booked into the Taylor County Jail and remains there in lieu of a $400,000 bond.
