According to the Abilene Police Department, on Friday 28-year-old Gabriel Balagtas Hall was apprehended by detectives with the Major Investigations Bureau, United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Sachse, Texas.
Hall was booked into the Taylor County Jail and charged with first-degree Felony Murder. His bond was set at $400,000.
On the day of the murder, Hall had been arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Morphine Sulfate), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Amphetamine), an Possession of a Controlled Substance (Alprazolam).
Hall was released two weeks later after posting a $105,000 bond –– but remained a person of interest in the shooting.
