Police Identify Victim In 7/11 Store Homicide

 

ABILENE – The Abilene Police Department has provided an update on the suspicious death that occurred at a 7/11 early Tuesday morning.

According to APD, officers were dispatched to the convenience store for reports of an injured victim. According to the concerned citizen who called 9-1-1, the man was lying in the parking lot of the store.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers located 35-year-old Carlos Veliz Jr. of Abilene. According to authorities, Veliz had suffered apparent trauma.

Veliz's death is currently being investigated by the APD Major Investigations Bureau as a homicide.
