Sheriff's Deputies Conducted 100+ Traffic Stops Over Labor Day Weekend

 

SAN ANGELO – As the counrty celebrated Labor Day weekend, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office took part in TxDOT's Impaired Driving Mobility Campaign that aims to reduce deaths and injuries caused on Texas roadways due to intoxicated drivers.

During the holiday weekend,  Tom Green County Sheriff's Deputies conducted 104 traffic stops.

As a results deputies issued the following enforcement actions:

  • 11 citations for speeding
  • 48 citations for intersection violations
  • 122 citations for other traffic violations


Deputies also arrested eight subjects for violations that included

  • Driving While Intoxicated
  • Felony possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Outstanding warrants
