San Angelo Attacker Wet Himself During a Knife Fight

SAN ANGELO,TX – A San Angelo man urinated on himself during a knife fight with a woman in a west side apartment complex. 

Jorge Costilla Martinez was indicted in May by a Tom Green County grand jury for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to documents, on January 17th, 2021, SAPD responded to a call for a stabbing on the west side of San Angelo around 7:00 p.m.

Law enforcement learned from the victim that an altercation had occurred over a phone. The incident escalated when Martinez went and got a pan, then knocked the victim over the furniture.

Martinez then threatened the victim who grabbed a pocket knife to defend herself and the 9-month-old child in the apartment.

The victim started stabbing Martinez in the chest with the pocket knife to try and stop the assault. Martinez then struck her in the face.

Martinez tried to grab the knife from the victim and was partially successful by cutting the victim’s thigh but did cut himself in the struggle.

Martinez then lost control of his bladder and gave up on the assault. He retrieved some items to help with the bleeding and left in a black truck.

The black truck was located on North Street but Martinez was not found.

A warrant was issued for Jorge Martinez’s arrest and he was captured and booked into the TGCDF on 4/29/2021 where he is still currently an inmate. Martinez’s bond has been set at $100,000.00.
