Snapchat From Drug Dealer Outs San Angelo Man to Cops

SAN ANGELO, TX – Tristan Keaton Wilhelm has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in April for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On October 9th, 2020, a DPS Trooper observed a vehicle travelling south on FM 2288. The vehicle was confirmed to be traveling at 54 MPH in a 45 MPH zone and a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver, Wilhelm, did not have his temporary license but he did have a picture of it on his phone. While showing the trooper the picture Wilhelm received two snapchats from a “Drug Dealer Jesse”.

Wilhelm was observed to have glossy blood shot eyes and was asked how much alcohol he consumed that night. He responded he had two beers after work. The trooper then asked about the snap chats he received. Wilhelm stated that his boss and coworkers liked taking Adderall but did not use snapchat so he arranged the contact.

After performing a field sobriety test it was determined that Wilhelm was under the influence of alcohol. 

An inventory of the vehicle uncovered an open container, vape pens, and a snuff container with two orange pills which were identified as Adderall. Wilhelm stated the pills were not his but wouldn’t say who they belonged to.

A .380 pistol was also located inside the center console of the vehicle.

Tristan Keaton Wilhelm was booked on October 9th, 2020 and posted a $7,500 bond the next day. Wilhelm is not currently an inmate at the TGCDF.
