ODESSA, TX – A 77-year-old Odessa man has been charged with ten counts of possession or promotion of child pornography, a third-degree felony.
According to the Department of Public Safety, Dannie Allison Bronner was arrested after he was found to have hundreds of lewd images featuring children and animals in his possession.
According to local media, back in November of 2019, a Criminal Investigation Division Special Agent DPS executed a search warrant on Bronner's home at the 5500 block of Dakota Avenue. During the search, multiple electronic storage devices were seized.
Bronner was interviewed by DPS that same day and reportedly admitted to searching and downloading images depicting child pornography. According to Bronner he "did receive sexual gratification from the images of child pornography."
Bronner was arrested that same day and charged with 5 counts of possession of child pornography. He was released a few days after posting a $25,000 bond.
In March of this year, authorities completed a forensic examination of the seized devices and found 270 images that depicted child pornography and 16 images that depicted bestiality.
According to jail records, Bronner was arrested once again on May 4th and charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography. His bond was set at $750,000.
Bronner was released on May 5th after posting his bond.
