San Angelo Man Indicted for Aggravated Assault with an Axe.

 

SAN ANGELO, TX- Juan Gonzales Pineda has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in April for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

On February 19th, 2021, San Angelo police were called to 3776 Arden Road for a reported assault.

The victim states that he was pulling out of the storage units and was blocked off by Pineda. Pineda started to follow the victim and honked at him as well. 

Pineda started yelling at the victim about his handicap placard that was hanging from the rear view mirror. Then the victim said Pineda started taking pictures with his cellphone and said he was calling the cops.

The victim decided to get a license plate number on Pineda’s vehicle to provide to the police.

Pineda and the victim both went in the same direction, down Arden Road towards Sherwood Way. Then the victim states that Pineda must have seen him. Pineda got out of his vehicle with an axe.

Pineda began to run towards the victim and was yelling and holding the axe in a threatening manner.

The victim felt threatened and immediately backed up to escape.

Juan Gonzales Pineda was booked into the TGCDF on 2/19/2021 and posted a $40,000.00 bond on February 20th, 2021.
