U.S. Marshals Hunting for Dangerous Murderer Who Broke Out of Prison

 

DILLY, TX – The U.S. Marshals Service continues to hunt for a man who was convicted of murder and then escaped prison.

According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, in 2010, Jose Fernando Bustos-Diaz, 32, escaped from the Dolph Briscoe Unit in Dilly, TX.

Diaz was convicted of murder and was supposed to serve 35 years for the crime. Diaz and another inmate managed to escape thanks to friends and family.

They are believed to have fled across the border and into Mexico. US Marshals believe that Diaz is a prime suspect in a second murder as well.
