Crash on Rio Concho Under Shooting Investigation

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Police are investigating a possible shooting that may have led to a single-vehicle crash late Wednesday night near downtown San Angelo.

It happened around 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of Rio Concho Drive and Roosevelt Street. Officers were initially dispatched for a crash involving a car and a mailbox, according to emergency radio traffic.

Upon arrival, police found the driver bleeding "a lot" and was "unresponsive." First responders said the man appeared to have a gunshot wound. He was still breathing and was transported to a nearby hospital.

No further details were immediately available at the scene as the investigation remained active. Police said additional information would be released Thursday.
