Sheriff Confirms Officer Involved Shooting

 

ODESSA, TX – The Ector County Sheriff's Office has confirmed an officer involved shooting that occurred Friday. 

 According to Newswest 9, on September 18, deputies with the Ector County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the N. Sparta Avenue and W. 65th Street.

While on the call, Sheriff Mike Griffis confirms that there was an officer involved shooting and that no officers were killed. 

The name of the suspect has not been named at this time.

The Texas Rangers have been called in to investigate.
