SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department confirmed the arrest of a 17-year-old on Thursday who was in possession of a large amount of drugs.
According to the SAPD, on August 5, officers with the SAPD were dispatched to the 500 block of East Harris Avenue for the report of a burglary investigation.
During their investigation they arrested Cecilia Guerrero, 17, and Elizabeth Guerrero, 38, for Burglary of a Habitation. Burglary of a Habitation is generally a second degree felony. This means that someone convicted of Burglary of a Habitation faces sentence from a minimum of 2 years in prison up to a maximum of 20 years in prison and a possible fine up to $10,000.00.
Cecilia was also charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance PG 2 and possession of marijuana more than four ounces but less than five pounds. Manufacturing a controlled substance is a felony. Penalties include 3, 5, or 7 years in prison, and a fine of up to $50,000. controlled substances in penalty group 2 include Ecstasy, PCP, Marinol, and Mescaline.
Possession of marijuana over 4 oz is also a felony in Texas that could lead up to 180 days - 2 years in prison plus a $10,000 fine.
Cecilia Guerrero is currently in the Tom Green County jail with a $100,000 bond while Elizabeth's bond has not been set at this time.
