Three Arrested After Officers Find Fugitive in the Attic

SAN ANGELO, TX – Three suspects landed in the Tom Green County Jail on Saturday after they attempted to hide a wanted felon in the attic of their rent home.

According to the affidavit, on June 6, officers with the San Angelo Police Department received a tip that a known fugitive was at a residence in the 2000 block of Walnut St.

When officers arrived they spoke with the person who rented the home who told them that two people had just arrived and were in the living room. He also claimed that Mark Crawley, 28, was not inside and that the three were going back to Midland to avoid apprehension.

After getting consent to search the house from the renter, the officers located Kaylie Stroud, 24, and Jeremy Porras, 28, in the back bedroom in the house.

Stroud and Porras were arrested for hindering apprehension or prosecution known felon. Crawley was arrested for a Parole Violation.

Crawley remains in jail with no bond. Porras' bond is currently set at $15,000. Stroud was released the following day after paying a $15,000 bond.
