Judge: Family Law Hearings Change Because of Coronavirus

SAN ANGELO, TX – As part of the response to the ever changing demands and challenges in which we find ourselves, the 391st District Court has implemented some additional changes regarding how it handles family law hearings. Family law practitioners will want to familiarize themselves with these new procedures.

Family law hearings for the 391st that are typically heard on Friday's (temporary orders, protective orders, temporary restraining orders, etc.), will now be individually scheduled by the 391st Court Administrator and heard by the 391st District Judge.

These hearings for 391st cases will no longer be heard on Friday's. Instead, for 391st cases, the same procedure will now be used to request a hearing for these hearings, as in other civil or criminal hearings. This change only effects 391st cases and does not alter any other district court, CPS, or IV-D cases or procedures.

To request a hearing date, contact the 391st Court Administrator, Erika Gonzales at: (325)657-8014 or [email protected].
