San Angelo Police Arrest Cooler Thief

 

 SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department’s Anti-Crime Unit has identified several suspects involved in ongoing thefts and burglaries throughout the community. 

One of the suspects, has been identified as 36-year-old Raul Ruiz who was located in possession of a confirmed stolen Pelican Cooler last night during a traffic stop. Additional coolers were also located and seized. Ruiz was charged with Theft of Property <$2,500—Enhanced/Previous Convictions. The Pelican Cooler was returned to the owner. The Department’s Gang Unit assisted with the stop and investigation.

The Anti-Crime Unit also conducted an investigatory detention of Ruiz on April 30, 2020, where they recovered several recently reported stolen power tools valued at $2,300.00. The tools were returned to the owner and charges are pending the outcome of that ongoing investigation.
