Local Man Indicted on Meth, Pot, and Stolen Vehicle Charges

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A 53-year-old San Angelo man has been indicted for Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance charges.

 

 

According to the affidavit, on December 2, 2019 the San Angelo Police Department was informed of the location of a possible stolen vehicle that was parked at Belaire Elementary School.

Upon further investigation officers were able to locate Perfecto "Garza" Lopez at his residence on Mission St to conduct further questioning.

While conducting their investigation, arresting officers found Lopez in possession of less than two ounces of marijuana, and over a gram of methamphetamine before taking him into custody. 

He was booked that day on the two charges of Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

On February 7 he was indicted on these charges, and is set to have his initial pre-trial April 7. 

He remains in Tom Green County jail on lieu of a $16,000.00 bond.
