Abilene Man Indicted for Aggravated Assault in Drive-by Shooting

 

ABILENE, TX- Nicholas James Woodall, Jr., 24, of Abilene, was indicted yesterday for his involvement in a drive-by shooting on Cedar Street May 13, 2016. The victim, a 20-year-old male, went to the hospital with serious injuries.

KTXS reported, “Police say Woodall was in a vehicle with another man, 21-year-old Daniel Earl Johnson, when shots were fired from the car. The pair were later caught on Burger Street.”

In a search warrant obtained by KTXS, the male shooting victim indicated that he and Johnson “had a rivalry over a woman.” 

A Taylor County grand jury indicted Woodall for Aggravated Assault, and his bond was set at $25,000.
