Assault/Family Violence, Drugs and Alcohol Top Weekend Arrests

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - Throughout the weekend, 49 people made their way to the Tom Green County Jail on a variety of offenses. Topping the crimes once more were assaults, including family violence, drugs and alcohol.

Since Friday, eight people went to jail on new complaints and outstanding warrants for assault and domestic violence related offenses. Included in those arrests were Cesar Adam Haro, 24, and Michael Devorence Green, 27.

San Angelo Police Officer Tracy Gonzalez said officers were dispatched to the unit block of W. 26th St. for the report of an assault on Nov. 19. Haro allegedly assaulted a 10-year-old child. In addition to injuring a child, Haro had multiple outstanding traffic-related warrants.

This is Haro's 8th arrest in TGC.

As for Green, he was arrested on Nov. 20 for Assault Cases Bodily Injury Family Violence Evading Arrest Detention and outstanding forgery warrants at around 8:48 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Dallas Street for the report of the domestic disturbance. He allegedly assaulted a female victim and left the scene. He was located nearby and fled upon seeing officers.

"At one point, Green ran up the embankment and into traffic lanes of the Houston Harte Expressway, but was eventually taken into custody," said Officer Gonzalez.

This is Green's 5th arrest in TGC.

In regards to drugs and alcohol related crimes, 22 people were arrested for both new complaints and outstanding warrants.

As for the rest, here are the other crimes to make the new complaint list:

  • Criminal Trespass: 4
  • Theft Class C: 2
  • Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon: 1
  • Fail to Identify Fugitive from Justice: 2
  • Theft of Property: 1
  • Driving While License Invalid: 2
