Local Law Enforcement Arrest 18 People on Outstanding Warrants

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Local law enforcement are continuing a streak of initiating warrant arrests across San Angelo.

Since our last update, 20 people went to the Tom Green County Jail, and 18 of those arrestees had outstanding warrants. Included in that list was 37-year-old James Carl Brown, who evaded San Angelo Police yesterday afternoon for about an hour before surrendering at a residence in the 1300 block of E. 18th St. (see story here).

Brown was not only arrested for evading arrest, but he was also wanted on two outstanding warrants, including one for possession of a controlled substance.

This is Brown’s 12th arrest in Tom Green County, and his bonds total $20,500, with fine/court costs of $407.

The other warrant arrests were related to theft, drugs, DWI, unauthorized use of vehicles, credit card/debit card abuse, and more.

Additionally, two people were arrested on new complaints, and, including Brown, three of the 18 arrested on warrants also had new complaints.

Here are the crimes to make the new complaint list:

  • Public Intoxication: 1
  • Assault Causes Bodily Injury: 1
  • Possession of Marijuana: 1
  • Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance: 1
