Abilene Convenience Store Clerk Assaulted and Robbed

 

At 4:18 a.m. this morning, Abilene Police received a call for a robbery with injuries at a convenience store located in the 800 block of Grape Street.

The clerk said an unknown black male entered the store and assaulted him with his hands in order to get money. After the assault, the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of currency, said APD officials.

The vehicle the suspect drove was reported stolen out of Runnels County, and it was recovered at the robbery location. It’s being held at the impound lot. Thus far, police have taken a report, but no suspects have been identified.

The investigation is ongoing.
