Juvenile Graffiti Vandals Busted in Abilene

Abilene Police Department Detectives from the Youth Division have identified several juveniles responsible for a "rash of graffiti" in the downtown Abilene area. According to a press release, a security camera captured the juveniles' images.

APD officials said the majority of the youths who have been identified do not have a history with police, so they are asking parents to have a conversation with their child/children to determine if they have participated in these unlawful acts.

Parents may contact the Abilene Police Department's Youth Division at (325)673-8331 with information regarding any possible graffiti.

"Our goal is to put a stop to the unlawful destruction of property to the businesses of our community," said APD. "This act is a victimless crime. Only by working together with our youth, parents and businesses can the Abilene Police Department prevent the reoccurrence of this crime."

Businesses that have been victimized by this act, or for more information about the Graffiti Eradication Program, can contact (325)676-6640. Anyone with information on these offenses, or any other criminal offense, may call Abilene Crime Stoppers. To remain anonymous, contact (325)676-8477 (TIPS).
