I take offense to the way this man is described in the headline.Your play on words here, may be amusing to some, and in your opinion make for a catchy headline but this man is being labeled by his disability. This is no different than a headline that begins with black, Mexican or gay etc...its very offensive to those who are disabled. And by the looks of it, he is not "one armed," he appears to have both arms but missing his left hand.

PermalinkThis is EXACTLY one of our biggest problems today!
We're so damn afraid of offending someone or group.
Give it a rest ALL READY!

Permalinkyea well just wait until you're the one offended, then you're outlook will change. Quit my whining? kiss my ass, I've lived 36 years and this is the first I've called soneone out for this, I can't go into a store without being stared at, made fun of or pointed at. Why should I have to put up with crap like that and it's from people like you. Why should I be afraid to call out a newspaper for offensive news reporting that perpetuates attitudes just like yours. It's not offensive to you because it doesn't apply to you, but when it does I bet you will be "whining" too

PermalinkI have battled the same thing and more years than I care to say. The one big difference between you and me? I choose not to play the victim as so many do,
just
like
you.

PermalinkYou're right about assumptions, so quit making them. How does me calling out a disrespectful media outlet make me the victim, in fact its just the opposite. And if you know as much as you say you do, then you are the victim, because you care so much about what others think, that not only are you afraid to defend yourself, you attack those who aren't. You're too intimidated to speak up and say that it's not okay to label someone, much less use them as an editorial pun, which is exactly what they have and are continuing to do. You become the victim when you are too afraid/intimidated to take a stand against someone...because now they control your actions, not you. Good luck with that.

PermalinkNEVER argue with idiots & democrats. (one in the same actually)
They have no moral fiber.
You may have the last comment as I am through with you and this subject.
There's nothing to be gained, you're a lost cause.
Keep blaming others, that's how we got the other idiot in the White House.
