The suspect retrieved an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the store.  Officers attempted to locate the suspect in the area but did not locate him.

“There were no injuries to employees or customers of the store,” said Sgt. Cade Solsbery, public information officer for SAPD.

Additionally, early this morning at approximately 5:20 a.m., officers responded to 1017 Caddo at Lucky Sweepstakes for a report of a robbery.  The victim reported that a black male, approximately 5’6’’-5’9’’ and weighing between 180-200 pounds, entered the business through the front door.

Solsbery said, “The suspect indicated he had a gun and demanded money from the cash registers. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash.”
