Abilene Police arrested two Abilene men, Bertrand Mbekun, 20, and Delrico Thompson, 17, for Burglary of Habitation and other chargers on April 9, said a press release today.
According to the release, through the course of an investigation, police received a description of a possible vehicle in recent home break-ins. Police located a vehicle matching the description in an apartment complex located in the 2000 block of South Clack St., initiated a stop, and subsequently detained and questioned three suspects. APD officials identified several pieces of stolen items, including jewelry, in the vehicle.
“Further investigation revealed a home in the 4000 block of Lynwood where other stolen property may possibly be located,” said the release.
APD officers recovered several items from recent home burglaries in the 800 block of Byrd Dr. and 1200 block of Kingsbury. The property recovered included television sets, several laptops, a rifle and other miscellaneous jewelry and other items with a value of around $50,000.

I guess with San Angelo's crime rate being cut to nearly 50% and it being a safer place to live now, San Angelo Live has to go out and get news stories from other cities who are having a crime wave so viewers will have some news to read.........
