Drunk Drivers, Manhunts Contribute to Jail Population Easter Weekend

 

Drunk driving at twice the legal limit, stalking, hit and runs and suspect pursuits kept law enforcement officers busy over Easter weekend, despite the relative calm out at the lake. 

Between Good Friday and Easter Sunday a total of six individuals were booked into the county jail for driving while intoxicated, two of which tested at double the legal limit and one of those who crashed his car into a house. Jaime Morales, 21, was booked into the county jail for DWI with BAC greater than or equal to 0.15 at 3:45 a.m. after he was apprehended on Lindenwood. Another of those six was jailed for drunk driving with her two children, ages 6 and 7, in the car. 

An additional six were jailed for marijuana possession, while three were charged with possession, one of which had two counts. 

Mark Elliott Domio, 20, was booked on Friday night at 9:40 p.m. after stealing from Walmart and leading officer J. Bouligny on a chase through town. He was charged with evading arrest in a vehicle, evading arrest, marijuana possession, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and fail to give information on striking vehicle.

In addition to Domio, one more individual was charged with evading arrest, while three were charged with public intoxication, three with assault, one with aggravated assault with a deadly eapon, one with resisting arrest, one with stalking and two more wih theft. 

In total, 60 inmates were booked over the weekend, while 56 were released.
