Six Indicted for Dealing Heroin, Meth, Coke, Pot and Methadone

Six individuals accused of dealing cocaine, meth, heroin, methadone and pot have been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury this month and are now facing charges ranging from state jail to first-degree felonies.

Of those indicted, three were part of a four-man drug transaction unsuccessfully executed back in January that involved an $1,100 ounce of meth the accused were attempting to sell in the parking lot of Inn of the Conchos.

According to a complaint filed with the case, investigators with the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office received confidential information from a source on alleged drug trafficking on Jan. 16.

The complaint states that Virginia Lara Prescott, 26, facilitated a drug deal planned to take place that evening and pulled into the parking lot of a motel at 2021 N. Bryant Blvd. with 26-year-old Deanna Weeaks in the car to conduct counter surveillance.

A short time later, the complaint states, 46-year-old Cort Harrison and 33-year-old James Knight pulled into the motel parking lot and parked next to Prescott’s vehicle, and she exited and got into the car.

Law enforcement personnel then contacted and detained the quartet, and DPS Trooper Billy Pierce arrived on scene with his K9, Frost, and alerted near the driver’s side door of Harrison’s vehicle.

A probable cause search was the conducted on the vehicle, and in the driver’s side seat officers located a Marlboro cigarette pack filled with a plastic bag containing 28 grams of meth.

All four were arrested and transported to the Tom Green County Jail. Virginia Prescott, Deanna Weeaks and James Knight were all indicted this month on a first-degree felony charge of manufacture/delivery of controlled substance. If convicted, they could be punished to 5-99 years in prison and a fine not to exceed $10k.

Cort Harrison was not indicted, but has a plea hearing scheduled for the first-degree charge on March 31.

Heroin and Methadone

Another San Angelo man, 35-year-old Eric Brandon Willberg, was indicted on a first-degree manufacture/delivery charge and a second-degree possession charge.

Two complaints filed with Willberg’s case state only that he was caught in possession of more than four grams but less than 200 grams of methadone on Jan. 6. On the same date, Willberg was also busted with four to 200 grams of heroin. An exact amount of drugs and the circumstances of the bust were not included in the complaint.

Cocaine and Pot

Levi Todd Turner, 24, has been indicted on a first-degree felony charge of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance after being busted with four to 200 grams of cocaine on Jan. 6.

A complaint filed with Turner’s case also alleges he was in possession of four grams to five pounds of pot on the same date, a state jail felony punishable by 180 days to two years in jail and a fine not to exceed $10k.

Drugs and Handguns

When the TxDPS executed a search warrant in the 200 block of W. 19th St. on Jan. 27, they found 38 grams of methamphetamine stuffed in a safe in Michael Dominique Garcia’s bedroom.

Garcia, 23, is a convicted felon, and in addition to the drugs, investigators located two handguns, including a Taurus .38 Special and a Jimenez .380 caliber pistol and a backpack filled with six pounds of pot.

Garcia was transported to the county jail and has now been indicted on a first-degree manufacture/delivery charge and a state jail felony pot possession charge.

In addition to Garcia, 19 others were indicted for state jail felony possession charges in March, which including those charged with dealing, account for 40 percent of all the 47 indictments handed down this month.
